Synopsis of Who Are You

Written by Sharon

Faith in Buffy's body is denoted as 'Buffy' and Buffy in Faith's body is 'Faith.' When they're in their correct bodies, they're simply Buffy as Buffy and Faith as Faith.

Buffy, in Faith's body, is carried away on a stretcher to the waiting ambulance. Faith, in Buffy's body, watches smiling while she listens to the police officer tell her and Joyce that after Faith receives proper care for her injury, she'll be taken care of by the authorities. Joyce and 'Buffy' goes back inside, and 'Buffy' goes to take a bath.

After a sexy, wet scene in a bubble bath, 'Buffy' plays with her face and talks to the mirror perfecting the line, "Because it's wrong."

Cut to 'Faith' fighting the doctors screaming that Faith switched her body. They stick her with a tranquilizer and she's out.

Willow's over Tara's and they discuss the reasons the Scooby Gang doesn't know about Tara yet. Willow wants something that's just hers, not theirs. She wants Tara to herself. Tara shyly comments, "I am yours."

'Buffy' has finished her shower and dressed, she finds Buffy's passport and calls the airport to book a one way flight for the next morning at 10am. Joyce comes in as she finishes and she covers by saying she's just getting her mail. Joyce tells 'Buffy' that Giles called and wants her to come by. One her way out, 'Buffy' picks up a lipstick and asks Joyce if she can steal the lipstick. Joyce tells her it's the same lipstick Faith had used earlier. 'Buffy' tosses it to Joyce with the command that she burn it and walks out.

The scene cuts to 'Faith' moaning in the back seat of a police car. A red armored truck pulls out in front of the police car, causing it to crash and the police in the front seat to lose consciousness. The Watcher's Council goons get out and takes 'Faith' out of the car and transfer her to the truck.

Buffy is over at Giles's with Giles, Willow and Anya. She insults Xander and fantasizes about stabbing Willow before saying to her, "I'd never let her hurt you." Giles tells her that Adam's still on the lose. Although 'Buffy' has no clue who Adam is, she says she'll do her duty.

She does her duty alright--clubbing at her old hangout, the Bronze. She parties and chugs; and she seriously flirts with Spike. She seduces him, then douses his fire just as quickly as she started him up. She laughs and walks off as he throws a glass against a wall and leaves.

Four vampires go into the sewers, dissappointed that they didn't get a feed that night and come across Adam. At first they're defensive about him being on their turf; after Adam pulls the head of one of the vamps right off his shoulders the others are ready to leave. Adam talks to them and decides to teach them not to fear things that they always have.

'Faith' is trying to reason with the Watcher's Council; trying to tell them she's Buffy not Faith. They don't listen to her, but she does get a face splat of spit.

When Willow and Tara arrive at the Bronze, 'Buffy' immediately zones in on the assumption that "Willow doesn't drive stick any more." She's mean to Tara while Willow's getting Tara some water. Then Willow comes over with the news that there's a vampire in the Bronze going to feed. 'Buffy' goes out the back door after him, makes short work of him, and then is oddly touched when the girl she saved thanks her profusely.

'Buffy' re-enters the Bronze and meets up with Willow again who says she's walking Tara home. Willow asks if 'Buffy' is going to see Riley or not--which sets a devious plan into motion.

'Faith' grabs one of her kidnappers who gets too close to her and threatens to strangle him if they don't let her go. They'd rather the guy die, so they walk away. 'Faith' kicks the guy out of the truck and doesn't kill him.

'Buffy' arrives at Riley's and sets out to seduce him playing the cat-like seductress. But Riley doesn't want to play like that and instead takes it nice and slow which is new for 'Buffy,' although she gets into it.

Tara and Willow arrive at Tara's room. Tara says she thinks 'Buffy' is not Buffy. They decide to go to the Neverworlds to find out what's going on.

It's morning and the Watcher's Council goons have gotten orders to kill Faith rather than bring her back to England. The head agent walks over to the armored truck and points a gun inside the bars, prepared to shoot 'Faith.' 'Faith' grabs the gun between her feet, jerks the guy's arm forward. His body crashes into the gate and flies backwards. She takes the gun and shoots the locks open. She gets to the front of the truck; starts it up; and goes crashing out of the gates.

'Buffy' wakes up and puts on Riley's shirt. He's still asleep, but she has a flight to catch. She splits but meets Forrest before she leaves. He snaps at her about wearing Riley out when he's supposed to be recovering and he calls her a killer. She responds, "I'M NOT A KILLER! I'm the slayer." She leaves to go to the airport.

'Faith' pops into Giles' house, freaking him out. She tells him that Faith switched their bodies and she's really Buffy. Giles is trying to figure out what to do when Tara and Willow pop in and say they already know what's going on. They also have a solution, a spell they concocted to switch the slayers back. They just need Buffy's body. Suddenly, Xander calls and tells them to watch the news. Three men with horribly disfigured, non-human faces have a bunch of people hostage in a church and will massacre them all if anyone is sent in.

'Buffy,' ready to depart at the airport, sees the news and skips her plane to go save the people. It is her duty as a slayer after all.

Riley's late for church, so he's at the scene when 'Buffy' gets there. 'Buffy' goes in. She beats the crap out of the vamps. One runs outside and Riley makes quick work of him; another she stabs and sends twirling into disintergration. She's fighting the third one and having problems when 'Faith' stakes him from behind. 'Buffy' and 'Faith' then fight, 'Faith' is pinned to ground and she slams her hand with 'Buffy's' and their bodies switch again. Faith jumps up and runs away. She gets onto a freight train, disappearing from everyone's lives again. Buffy's explaining everything to Riley when she finds out he slept with Faith while she was in Buffy's body.
